about

This compilation was originally released with the programme for Enzyme Tower, a Melbourne Fringe Festival event in 2010.

From 2005 - 2015 Enzyme was a semi-regular audiovisual event (held in Melbourne Australia), where the public were invited to enjoy uncompromised underground performances.

Artists from well outside the mainstream, through a diverse slather, including but not limited to; noise, experimental, avante garde, dark ambient, electronica, industrial, gothic, darkwave, trip hop, dark hip hop, metal and beyond.

What began in 2005 as a local experiment, became an underground institution, and we thank you for your support!

Enzyme was funded by Dawn Industry (formerly know as DEMUS (dark electronic music underground) www.dawnindustry.com.

Infectious Unease Radio www.infectiousuneaseradio.com played a crucial role in promotion, R&D and exposure. Both organisations were non-profit and organised only to benefit musicians, and the artistic community.
